Discovered as a bud mutation of Thompson (pink Marsh) in 1926 by A.E. Henninger at McAllen, Texas and was patented and named in 1934. Marsh White Grapefruit Origin as seedling from Duncan tree in Lakeland, Florida around 1860. Flame Grapefruit Origination from a seed collected by W.K.
