Betty Bell's Fruit Crisp Mix

Ingredients:

3 cups all purpose flour or half white and half whole wheat flour
4 cups granulated sugar or half granulated and half brown sugar
1 1/3 cups solid vegetable shortening -- butter flavor crisco preferred
 

Preparation:

Combine flour and sugar; mix in shortening with pastry blender until the consistency of corn meal. Store in container with tight fitting lid. Makes approximately 10 cups, sufficient for 4 crisps.
