Preparation:
Wash lentils, soak for 45 mins in boiling water and drain. Dry-fry onion
until soft. Place lentils in a pan with bay leaf and 1/2 pt water and
simmer for 30-45 mins. Remove the bay leaf and stir in the vegemite,
beaten eggs, garlic, cheese, onion and rice. Pack into a greased loaf
tin and bake at 150°C (300°F), for about 1 hour, or until cooked. |
