Preparation:
1. In large pot of boiling salted water, cook pasta for 8-10 minutes or until tender.
2. Meanwhile in saucepan, melt 2 Tbsp butter over medium heat; stir in flour and mustard. Cook stirring constantly for 1 minute.
3. Slowly whisk in milk; cook, stirring for 6-8 minutes or until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup of the cheddar cheese, just until it starts to melt.
4. Stir in pasta. Season to taste. Spoon into buttered casserole.
5. In small saucepan, melt remaining butter over medium heat; stir in bread crumbs and garlic. Cook 1 minute. Sprinkle over pasta mixture.
6. Top casserole with remaining cheese and bake at 325F for 30 minutes or until golden brown. |
