Preparation:
Sprinkle apple slices with lemon juice, toss to coat heat 1 tablespoon butter with oil, until melted add pork chops and brown 2-3 minutes on each side remove chops, set aside pour off fat and deglaze pan with wine add 1 cup cider, and reduce to 1 cup add chops and simmer slowly for 5 minutes turn and simmer for another 5 minutes, until tender remove to a platter, keep warm strain juices, keep warm melt remaining butter in a skillet add apples and remaining cider heat and stir for 10 minutes, until caramelized remove from heat; arrange on and around chops on platter reduce reserved juices, until thickened spoon over chops and apples serve hot |
