Preparation:
combine soy, brown sugar, vinegar, ginger, half the scallions, red pepper flakes, cumin, anise, and salt add pork and toss to coat well cover and chill for 4-24 hours drain meat and reserve marinade heat oil to 375 degrees add pork and fry for 3-5 minutes, until browned drain on paper a cooling rack and blot with paper towels alternate cooking method: transfer pork and marinade to a large covered casserole bake @ 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes, adding additional liquid as needed serve hot, with fried or steamed rice |
