Preparation:
Cook berries in sugar just until hot. Add lemon juice, lemon rind and simmer for 5 minutes. Force through a sieve. Mix together corn starch and cognac until smooth and add berry mixture. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until the mixture is clear and thickened.
Serve sauce over fruit or ice cream. Blueberries can be used instead of strawberries. Sauce can be served hot or cold. |
