Preparation:
1. Combine the fontina cheese, cream, butter and Parmesan cheese in a bowl over a pan of simmering water. heat, stirring occasionally, for 6 - 8 minutes or until the cheese has melted and sauce is smooth and hot.
2. When the sauce is halfway through cooking lower the gnocchi, in batches into a large pan of boiling salted water and cook for about 2 minutes or unti; gnocchi rise to the surface.
3. Drain the gnocchi, using a slotted spoon, and serve with sauce over the top. Can be garnished with fresh oregano leaves or other fresh herbs. |
