Preparation:
In medium mixing bowl stir together flour, brown sugar, baking powder,
baking soda, and cardamom (or cloves); set aside. Stir together apricot nectar (or OJ), applesauce, oil and egg until combined. Add to dry ingredients, stirring just until combined, and stir in snipped apricots. Spread batter into an ungreased 11x7x2 baking pan. Bake in 350 F oven about 20 minutes or until
toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack. Drizzle with Apricot
Icing. Cut into bars.
Apricot Icing: In small mixing bowl, stir together 1 c. powdered sugar and
2 to 3 tsp. Apricot nectar. |
