Preparation:
1. Preheat oven to 275F. Greaae 15 1/2 X 10 1/2 jelly roll pan. Into a large bowl measure all ingredients except egg white and walnuts. With mixer at low speed beat ingredients just until blended, occasionally scraping down sides of the bowl. Increase speed to medium; beat until well mixed. Pat dough evenly into pan.
2. In a cup, beat egg white slightly, brush over top of dough and sprinkle with walnuts.
3. Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes or until golden. Immediately cut cross wise into 12 strips, then cut each strip into 4 pieces to make 48 bars. Remove bars from pan to cool on wire racks. Store in a tightly covered container. |
