Preparation:
Heat oven to 350 F. Grease a shallow 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Spread half
the potatoes over bottom. Combine salt, pepper, nutmeg, and flour.
Sprinkle
potatoes with half of this mixture and all the onion. Dot with half the
butter. Add remaining potatoes, the rest of the flour mixture, and the
remaining 1 tbls. butter. Pour hot milk over top. Cover and bake 65
minutes. Uncover and bake 15 minutes longer, until potatoes are fork
tender. |
