Preparation:
Melt butter in soup kettle, add flour and cook 2 minutes, whisking until blended. Gradually add broth and milk. Add cheese. Cook until melted and thick. Add Worcestershire sauce and liquid smoke. simmer covered for 5 minutes. this is great as a soup, sprinkle seasoned croutons, popcorn, rice, the list is endless. Also good as a dip for pretzels or fresh bread chunks. |
