Preparation:
place chopped spinach into a bowl combine reserved liquid and enough water to make 3/4 cup add to spinach add potato flakes, grated cheeses, onions, mushrooms, egg, salt, pepper, basil, thyme, nutmeg, and garlic-mix well layout filo dough onto a worksurface combine wheat germ and breadcrumbs in a small bowl brush a sheet of dough with butter sprinkle with 2 teaspoons crumb mixture repeat with remaining filo, crumbs, and butter place filling mixture along one long edge of dough fold in sides over filling and rollup into a log place into a baking pan brush with butter and sprinkle with crumbs bake @ 350 degrees for 25-35 minutes, until crisp and golden remove to cool slightly cut into 8 portions serve hot, garnished with cheese sauce or as desired |
