Preparation:
Cream together butter, sugar, and eggs. Mix together buttermilk or
sour
milk and baking soda. Mix together salt and flour. Add flour
alternately with buttermilk or sour milk to sugar mixture. Dredge in
1/2 cup flour chopped dates, chopped orange slice candy, coconut, and
chopped nuts. Add to cake mixture. Grease and flour tube pan. Pour
cake into pan. Bake at 275 degrees for 2 hours or until done. |
