Beef And Barley Soup

Ingredients:

1 pound stew beef -- cut in 1/2 inch cubes
1 medium onion -- chopped
2 stalks celery -- chopped
2 medium carrots -- diced
3/4 cup barley
1 piece bay leaf
1 teaspoon salt -- or to taste
1 teaspoon pepper to taste
6 cups beef stock
 

Preparation:

Place all ingredients in a crockpot. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, stirring occasionally.
