Preparation:
saute the beef strips in margarine and garlic,then add beef base(diluted with water of course!)enough to let the strips gently simmer for an hour,add the onion at the same time cover and let simmer for about an hour and a half,with this trick you can avoid having to use the more expensive meet that is usually called for,after you have simmered add the ketchup,this gives it the tang,then make a roux (margarine and flour) to thicken it up and once you`ve reached desired consistency add sour cream recipe calls for about a cup but I always put in more,mix well and serve over hot noodles. |
