Preparation:
heat butter or fat in a skillet, over a moderate flame add onions and saute for 5 minutes add sauerkraut and potato or apple-mix well cover with boiling stock and wine season with brown sugar and caraway or celery seed as desired simmer, over a low flame, uncovered, for 30 minutes cover and bake @ 325 degrees for 30 minutes adjust seasonings to taste serve hot (works well with frankfurters, wurst, spareribs, or roast pork) |
