Preparation:
Brown the sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat, breaking the
meat
into small bits with the back of the spoon, 15-20 minutes. Combine the
browned sausage with the cornbread crumbs in a large mixing bowl. Mekt the
butter over medium heat in the same skillet. Add the onion, celery and
Holiday Turkey Rub and saute until the vegetables are quite soft, 10-12
minutes. Add the apples and saute 3 minutes more. Combine this mixture
with
the sausage and cornbread, mixing well. Stir in the dried cranberries into
the stuffing and moisten all with the chicken broth. season with salt and
pepper. Stuff the turkey with the stuffing or spead it into a large
buttered
casserole and bake in a 325 degree oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
