Preparation:
Bring oil and water to a boil. Remove from the heat. Combine the matzah meal, sugar and salt; add to the oil/water mixture all at once. Beat well with a wooden spoon. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat the eggs into the matzah mixture one at a time either by hand or an electric mixture. Oil your hands and shape the dough into 12 small balls. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake 50-60 minutes.
Sweet Rolls:
Add 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tbsp cinnamon with the eggs, and then fold in 1/2 cup raisins. |
