Ingredients:

irish or scottish oatmeal |

baking soda |

teaspoon |
salt |
1/8 |
teaspoon |
cream of tartar |
1/2 |
stick |
butter |
2/3 |
cup |
buttermilk |

Preparation:
Mix all the dry ingredients. Rub in the butter. Add the buttermilk and knead the dough well. Roll out to a thickness of 1/2". Brush with milk. Cut into rounds and bake at 425 degrees for 15-20 minutes. |
