White Chocolate Chip Chocolate Ice Cream

Serves: 2 quarts
 

Ingredients:

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
2 cups light cream
1 package vanilla milk chips (10 ounces or 1 2/3 cups) divided
2 cups whipping cream -- chilled
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1 tablespoons vanilla extract
 

Preparation:

In medium saucepan, combine sugar and cocoa; stir in light cream. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly with wire whisk, until cocoa is dissolved and mixture is smooth. Remove from heat; cool completely. Stir in 1 cup vanilla milk chips, whipping cream, corn syrup and vanilla. Freeze mixture in 2-quart ice cream freezer according to manufacturer's directions. Remove lid; take out dasher. Stir mixture; replace lid. Place in freezer several hours to ripen. After scooping ice cream, garnish with remaining vanilla milk chip
