Preparation:
Sprinkle lamb with salt and pepper. Arrange in a 4 to 5-quart Dutch oven (or casserole). Scatter onion and green pepper over top. Stir together tomato sauce, garlic, wine, salt, oregano, sugar, cinnamon and rosemary. Pour over meat. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 2 1/2 hours. Remove to platter; skim off fat from liquid. Pour liquid over lamb. Garnish with lemon peel and parsley; sprinkle with Feta cheese if desired. |
