Preparation:
Brown onion, garlic and sweet basil in olive oil. Add salt and pepper. After onion is yellowish, add ground beef. Brown. Add tomato puree, tomato sauce and tomato paste. Fill each can with water. Pour water into sauce. Add sugar and bay leaves. Stir well. Cover. Simmer for 1 hour. Remove cover. Simmer 1 more hour. Serve. |
