Preparation:
Cut six ounces of cheese into eight 2 x 1 x 1/2 inch slices. Combine dry ingredients; stir in chives. Add milk and margarine, mixing just unitl moistened. Knead dough on lightly floured surface about ten times. Pat dough out to a 12 x 9 inch rectangle; place cheese slices equally spaced on one half of dough. Fold doough over cheese; cut inot 3 x 2 inch rectangles. Press together edges of dough to seal. Place in generously greased, hot 12 inch skillet. Cover; cook over low heat 10 minutes. Turn; cover. Continue cooking 5 minutes or until golden brown. 8 biscuits. |
