Nevada Annie' Harris 1987 World Championship Chili

Ingredients:

3 medium onions
2 medium green peppers
2 large celery
2 clove garlic
1/2 small fresh jalapeno pepper
8 pounds lean chuck -- cubed
7 ounces diced green chilies
29 Ounces stewed tomatoes
15 ounces tomato sauce
6 ounces tomato paste
6 ounces bottled chili powder
2 tablespoons cumin powder
1 teaspoon Tabasco/Franks sauce to taste
12 ounces beer
12 ounces water
2 pieces bay leaves -- up to 3
1 teaspoon garlic salt to taste
1 teaspoon salt to taste
 

Preparation:

Dice and sauté first 5 ingredients. Add meat and brown. Add remaining ingredients, including half a can of beer. Add water just to cover top. Cook about 3 hours on low heat. Stir often. Remove bay leaves. The leftovers will make you cry.
