Preparation:
Grate carrots, cabbage onions and pepper. Mix all these together. Add 1 tablespoon of salt to vegetables. Heat vinegar and oil (can heat in microwave) so sugar will dissolve. Add sugar to this mixture and stir until dissolved. Cool slightly and pour over vegetables and stir well.
Store in a glass or plastic container only. It may be served right away or it is better to let it stand overnight. |
