Preparation:
Preheat oil in deep fryer or cast-iron skillet to 350 - 375F. Stir all dry ingredients together. Make a well in dry ingredients; add egg and 3/4 cup buttermilk. Stir thoroughly; add 1/4 cup buttermilk if needed.
Add green onions; mix well. Drop by spoonfuls into hot oil for 3-4 minutes or until brown. Drain on absorbent paper. |
