Preparation:
Place all ingredients except vegetable oil in bowl. Attach bowl and flat beater. Turn to speed 2 and beat 30 seconds. Stop and scrape bowl. Turn to speed 6 and beat 15 seconds.
Heat oil in a 1 1/2-quart saucepan over medium-high heat to 375 F. Drop batter in oil, a tablespoon at a time. Turn fritters once after bubbles form on top and continue frying until golden brown. Serve immediately with maple syrup. |
