Pioneer Bbq Sauce

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups tomato puree
1/2 cup vinegar
1/4 cup sherry
1 teaspoon dry mustard
3 medium jalapeno -- seeded and chopped
2 cloves garlic -- finely chopped
1/2 cup onion -- finely chopped
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 teaspoon white pepper
1/4 cup honey
1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
3 tablespoons water
 

Preparation:

Combine all ingredients except the cornstarch and water in a saucepan and bring to boil. Dissolve cornstarch in the water and stir into sauce. Cook and stir until mixture boils and is thick. Cook for 2 min. Use on beef short ribs.
