Preparation:
Put winter ale in large saucepan. Ad 1/2 onion, 1/2 cup lemon juice, 1 teaspoon celery salt, 1 sprig parsley, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 bay leaf, 1 sprig thyme, 1/2 teaspoon basil, 3 cloves, 2 peppercorns and 1/8 teaspoon cumin. Bring to boil.
Put pilsner lager in separate saucepan. Add remaining 1/2 onion, 1/2 cup lemon juice, 1 teaspoon celery salt, 1 sprig parsley, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 bay leaf, 1 sprig thyme, 1/2 teaspoon basil, 3 cloves, 2 peppercorns and 1/8 teaspoon cumin. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low on both pots and simmer 5 minutes.
Add 1 pound shrimp to each pot and simmer until pink, 3 to 5 minutes. Drain shrimp in colander, discarding onion and bay leaf. |
