Preparation:
Mix cheese, onion and mustard in a small bowel; set aside. Roll out one sheet of puff pastry on a lightly foured surface to a 12 inch square; cut into 3 inch squares. place 1 sausage slice in center of square and top with 1/2 teaspoon cheese mixture. Brush edges of square with water; fold four corners to center and and pinch to seal. Repeat with remaining pastry dough and filling. Bake in 400 degree ovenfor 18-20, until golden.
Can be frozen after assemble and stored for 2-3 months. Bake as above.
* I didn't have hot horseradish mustard, so I mixed 1/2 half tablespoon horseradish with hot sweet mustard.
Notes: These were great and worth the effort. The thing I will change next time is that I will chop the sausage also. It is harder to eat with a whole slice in the bottom of the pastr |
