Grilled Wiener Winders

Ingredients:

1/2 pound sliced bacon
8 links beef frankfurter
8 medium scallions
 

Preparation:

Saute bacon in a skillet, over a moderate flame for 3-4 minutes per side to soften drain well on a cooling rack and blot with paper towels cut a lengthwise split into frankfurters, without cutting through place a scallion into each split wrap a bacon slice around each frankfurter, enclosing scallion secure with wooden picks, bamboo skewers, or metal skewers bbq, grill, or broil until bacon is crisp and ends of scallion have charred slightly serve hot, with assorted condiments to the side
