Steak And Rice

Ingredients:

1 1/2 pounds tenderized boneless beef round steak
2 large onions cut in 1 1/2 inch slices and separated into rings
1 can sliced mushrooms -- reserve liquid
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup dry sherry
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt
3 cups hot cooked rice
 

Preparation:

Cut steak into thin strips. Place meat in 3 quart casserole. Mix together onions, mushrooms, mushroom soup, sherry and garlic salt. Pour over meat, Cover. Microwave at high (100%) 5 minutes. Microwave at medium (50%) until beef is tender, 45 to 50 minutes, stirring twice during cooking time. Serve over beds of fluffy rice. Makes 6 servings.
