Preparation:
Slice white part of green onions. Melt butter in sauce pan and add onions.
Sauté until onions are transparent and tender. Remove from heat, add flour,
pepper, and mustard. Mix well. Gradually add chicken broth, stirring until
smooth. Return to heat. Fill broth can with cream and add. Stirring
constantly, bring to a boil. Gently boil for 1-2 minutes. Add grated cheese,
heat until melted (more cheese may be added for stronger flavor, if
desired).
Garnish with crumbled cooked bacon and green part of sliced green onions. |
