Preparation:
Cook pasta according to package directions. Add spinach the last two minutes of cooking. Drain. Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir in garlic and pepper flakes, if using and cook for 1 minute. Stir in crushed tomatoes, basil and cream cheese. Bring to a boil, stirring briskly, until cheese melts. Return pasta to pot or place in bowl. Add sauce and toss. Serve with Parmesan cheese.
