Preparation:
Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until stiff (till mixture peaks). Add 1/2 of the sugar gradually and beat well. Fold in the remainder of the sugar, then add remainder ingredients. Pour into a well greased round cake pan. Heat oven to 180 (C) and place pavlova in oven. Turn oven off immediately and leave until cool. Remove pavlova from oven and turn upside down on a serving plate. When cool top with whipped cream and garnish with freshly sliced strawberries or kiwi fruit. |
