Baked Sweet Potatoes and Apples With Pecan Butter |

Ingredients:

orange juice |

tart cooking apples -- sliced horizontally |

Preparation:
Heat oven to 375°. In 13x9-inch baking pan melt butter in oven (4 to 6
minutes). Stir in all remaining ingredients except sweet potatoes and
apples.
Place sweet potatoes in butter mixture; toss to coat.
Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until fork tender. Add apples; spoon butter
mixture over apples. Continue baking for 15 to 20 minutes or until apples
are
tender.
TIP: Although no yams are grown in the United States, some grocery stores
label orange sweet potatoes as yams.
This sweet potato and apple side dish is a great accompaniment to a special
menu. |
