Preparation:
Combine sweet potatoes and water to cover in a saucepan, over a high flame bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 20-25 minutes, until tender drain well and allow to cool remove and discard peels, mash potatoes to a smooth puree combine mashed potatoes with all but 2 tablespoons brown sugar stir in the butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and milk-mix well spoon into a greased casserole top with the remaining 2 tablespoons brown sugar bake @ 400 degrees for 30 minutes serve hot |
