Ingredients:

roast beef -- (small) very thinly sliced |
3 |
cloves |
lots of fresh garlic cloves -- diced |

cup |
virgin italian olive oil -- (to taste, rarely measured) |
1 |
dash |
salt and pepper |

bunch |
fresh basil |

fresh squeezed lemon juice |

Preparation:
In a preheated skillet lightly coat the bottom with a teaspoonful of olive oil. Fry the thin steaks for just enough time to sear the outside but leave the inside pink (perhaps a minute on each side depending on the thinness of the cut.
Dip the fried steak in the olive oil. Put it on a plate; sprinkle on some of the diced garlic and basil. Squeeze some lemon juice on top (to taste). Salt and pepper to taste. |
