Preparation:
In 2 quart saucepan, cook onions in margarine until tender. Add remaining ingredients; stir over low heat until process cheese spread is melted and mixture is hot. Top each serving with toasted slivered almonds, if desired. Four 3/4 cup servings
Variations: Substitute frozen chopped spinach for broccoli
Substitute frozen cauliflower or asparagus spears, cooked, drained, chopped for broccoli
Microwave: Microwave onions and margarine in 2 quart casserole or bowl on high 30 seconds to 1 minute or until onions are tender. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Micowave on high 6 to 8 minutes or until thoroughly heated, stirring every 3 minutes. Continue as directed.
