Preparation:
Cook together a cup of sifted banana pulp (peeled bananas passed through a
sieve), the juice of half a lemon or orange, the sugar and butter. When
thick and cold, spread upon the cake. Or, heat the ingredients in a double
boiler and then stir in an egg beaten with a tablespoonful of water. Cook
and stir until thickened. Then cool and spread on cake. |
