Preparation:
Combine filling ingredients and set aside. Soften yeast in 1/4 cup warm water. Scald milk, and add sugar, shortening, and salt. Cool to luke warm. Stir in eggs, vanilla, and 2 cups flour. Add yeast mixture. Beat well, and add all remaining ingredients to form soft dough. Let rise. Punch down. Cut in half, and roll out. Spread half of filling onto dough, and roll into Jelly roll. Cut into 3/4 inch thick slices and place in pan. Repeat process with second half of dough. Let rise, and bake in 350 degree oven for 35 to 30 minutes.
Sprinkle with confectioners sugar. |
