Preparation:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Melt bars and 1 stick butter in double boiler. Mix well. Cool, set aside to add to the batter.
Cream sugar with other stick butter. Add eggs one at a time. Alternate flour (to which baking soda has been added) with the buttermilk to the mixture. Add candy mixture, vanilla and nuts. Pour into a greased 9X13 pan and bake 45 to 60 min. at 325 degrees.
TOPPING: Combine sugar and evaporated milk. Bring to a boil and cook to soft ball stage, 235 degrees. Add chips, butter, marshmallow cream and vanilla. Remove from heat. Beat until right for smooth spreading. |
