Preparation:
Sprinkle meat with 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder. Broil 5 inches from
heat;6-8 minutes for medium rare or until cooked as desired., turning
once. In skillet, cook onion, green pepper, thyme and remaining garlic
powder in oil until vegetables are tender-crisp. Drain tomatoes,
reserving juice;
combine juice and cornstarch. Add to vegetables; cook, stirring
constantly, until thickened. Add
tomatoes; heat thoroughly. Salt and pepper to taste. Thinly slice
meat; top with vegetables.
VARIATIONS:
May substitute Del Monte Mexican Style Stewed Tomatoes for Original
Style Tomatoes and 1/4 teaspoon oregano for thyme. |
