Beulah Manning's Quick Butter Cake

Ingredients:

1	Cup	Butter or Margarine
2	Cup	Sugar
6	large	Eggs
2	Cup	pre-sifted flour
1/2	teaspoon	salt
1	teaspoon	lemon or orange extract or if desired vanilla
		---For Topping:
1/2	Cup	Orange or Lemon Juice
1/2	Cup	Sugar

Preparation:

Cream Butter or Margarine, add 2 cups sugar, cream together good, add eggs, 2 at a time, cream this all together good, add flour, salt and flavoring. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes in tube pan which has ben greased or sprayed with Pam. TOPPING: Mix orange or lemon juice and sugar. Heat until sugar melts and top cake while warm.
