Preparation:
Pass tortillas through hot oil to soften, do not crisp. Drain on paper towels. Salt and tear into quarters. Set aside.
To make sauce, saute onion in remaining oil. Add the half and half. Add chiles, salt, pepper, and taco sauce. Simmer 5 minutes.
In buttered 2 quart casserole layer tortillas, chicken or ground beef, cheese and sauce. Bake uncovered in 350 degree oven 45 minutes. |
