Preparation:
Place the ham with enough cider to cover in a crockpot and cook on low for 10 to 12 hours. Before serving, remove ham and set aside. Heat oven to 375°F. Make a paste of the mustard, cloves and a scant tablespoon of the hot cider. If there is one, remove the outer skin from the ham and smear the ham with the paste. Place in a baking pan. Pour in 1 cup of hot cider and the raisins. Bake in the preheated oven 1/2 hour or just until the paste has turned to a glaze. The cider will have reduced enough to make a flavorful raisin sauce for the ham. |
