Preparation:
Place meat, onion, green pepper and garlic into a large heated saucepan. Cook until meat loses its pink color. Remove mixture with a slotted spoon and put into a crockpot. Add brown sugar, seasonings, tomato sauce and tomato paste; mix well. Cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours. Stir in mushrooms, lemon peel and lemon juice; heat thoroughly. Spoon sauce over hot spaghetti and accompany with grated Parmesan cheese. |
