Slow Cooker Spiced Wine

Serves: 6-8 (2 quarts)
 

Ingredients:

2 bottles dry red wine
3 medium apples -- peel, core, slice
3 whole cloves
2 pieces cinnamon sticks
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice
 

Preparation:

The apples should be thinly sliced. Combine all ingredients in Crock-Pot; stir well. Cover and cook on Low for 4 to 12 hours or on High for 1 to 2 hours. Serve hot, in punch cups or mugs.
