applesauce |

Preparation:
Sift together dry ingredients. Cream shortening; add sugar and cream well.
Beat in eggs and vanilla. Blend in dry ingredients gradually. Add applesauce
and walnuts, mixing just enough to wet all ingredients. Pour into
well-greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch baking pan. Let rise 20 minutes. Bake in 350 F
oven for 55 minutes to one hour. |
